Helping the children learn at home
4 rows. A group is the level between a category and a task: one thing a person could hand over whole, split into the rows it actually takes. The app shows groups collapsed and lets you answer at either level.
| Task | How often | Minutes | Takes out of you | Sits in your mind | Breaks your day | The doing | The carrying |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sit with them and help with their homework | every weekday | 20 | draining | on your mind | breaks the day | 2.35 | 2.00 |
| why Energy 4 and not podcast-able. The model flags attention-during-task as unmodelled (§9 Q1); where that matters most, `energy` is doing the work. | |||||||
| Help them study for tests and exams | twice a week | 25 | takes something | never leaves your head | needs a slot | 1.06 | 2.10 |
| Do the daily reading practice | every weekday | 10 | takes something | on your mind | breaks the day | 1.13 | 2.00 |
| Do the projects, models and costumes that get sent home | every couple of months | 120 | draining | on your mind | breaks the day | 0.32 | 0.79 |
| why Vigilance 4: announced weeks ahead, remembered by one person, due on a fixed morning, so it must surface on time. | |||||||
Which households get these
A new household is seeded from its own answers, so most of these rows only appear where they apply.
- Do the daily reading practice — households with a child aged 4 to 9, during term time
- Do the projects, models and costumes that get sent home — households with a child of 4 or over, during term time
- Help them study for tests and exams — households with a child of 13 or over, during term time
- Sit with them and help with their homework — households with a child of 5 or over, during term time, counted more often in households with 2 or more children
Something missing, or something weighted wrong?
This is the part of Champignon that is genuinely unfinished, and the part a person outside this household can fix. Two routes, neither of which needs an account:
- Something we don't have — a task you do that isn't listed here.
- A weight that looks wrong — tell us which row, and what it should sit above or below. A comparison is actionable; feels wrong on its own isn't.
What happens next, and how a weight actually changes, is on Contribute.
