Terms
Two things are covered here: this website, and what buying the app gets you.
The app
Champignon for iOS is licensed rather than sold, on Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement, which applies to the app unless a custom agreement is presented in its place. You can read it at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/.
Purchases, refunds, billing, and family sharing are handled by Apple under the terms of the App Store, not by us.
What the purchase buys
The purchase terms are set out here before the app is sold, and not before: how keeping a household is paid for is still being settled. What is already fixed:
- Not a subscription. Nothing renews.
- Your partner is never charged. A purchase would belong to the household, not to a device.
- Free, permanently, without buying anything: the demo household — complete, interactive, and resettable.
Refunds are Apple's process, through the App Store.
What the app is not
Champignon is a measurement instrument and a conversation aid. It is not a medical, psychological or legal service, it makes no diagnosis, and nothing it displays is advice about your relationship or your health. It makes no claim to improve a division of labour — see the judgement calls page, which says plainly that no study anywhere has tested whether measurement changes behaviour.
This website
You are welcome to read, quote and link to anything here, with attribution.
The task library and the model documentation will carry an explicit licence for reuse — that choice is being made deliberately rather than by default, and until it is made, the files on the data page are published for reading and argument rather than for redistribution.
Contributions. If you send a suggestion through this site, you keep whatever rights you have in it and you grant us permission to use it — to change the library, and to describe the change publicly. Please don't send anything confidential, anything about a person who hasn't agreed, or anything you don't have the right to share. Submissions are never published verbatim.
No warranty. The site and the app are provided as they are. The numbers in the library are estimates, published precisely so they can be argued with; they are not measurements of your household.
