Privacy
Most privacy policies are long because the product collects a lot. This one is short for the opposite reason, and the distinction between the app and this website is drawn as sharply as we can draw it.
The app
Champignon collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no accounts.
- No login, no user account, no profile, no email address.
- No network calls. Not "we don't sell your data" — there is no code in the app that talks to a server about your household.
- Everything you enter — names, tasks, who does what, hours — is written to the device and stays there.
- No analytics of any kind on relationship content. No usage events, no crash payload containing task data, names or scores.
- Nothing is backed up to us because there is nowhere for it to go. The consequence is the honest one: if you lose the device, you lose the data.
This is why the App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected, and why there is no account-deletion flow: there is no account to delete.
The one way the app reaches outward is a link you tap yourself, such as its About page, which opens this website in Safari. The app makes no request of its own; Safari does, and what it asks for is a page of this site, carrying nothing about your household.
This website
This website is a website, and it would be dishonest to imply otherwise.
What happens automatically. The site and its DNS are run by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived request logs — IP address, page requested, time, browser string — as every web server does. They are used to keep the site up and are not joined to anything else.
Support messages. If you write to support@champignon.app, your message is received and stored in Apple's iCloud Mail and read by one person, to answer you.
Both are US companies, so this may be processed outside Switzerland and the EU.
Cookies. None. No advertising pixels, no embedded video, no third-party fonts — the two typefaces are served from this domain, so no request for them leaves it. Nothing on this site follows you anywhere.
Analytics. If aggregate page counts are ever turned on here, they will be a cookieless service that records no individual, and this paragraph will say which one and stop being conditional.
Contribution forms. Not built yet. When they are, they will collect what you type and nothing else, and the page you type it into will say so again above the field. Submissions go to one person, are read, summarised, and never published as written. An email address, if you give one, is used to tell you what happened to your submission and for nothing else.
Your rights
Whoever holds the data owes you access to it, correction of it, and deletion of it. For this site that means anything you sent by email or through a form — there is nothing else, and there is nothing at all from the app.
Who to ask: support@champignon.app Who is responsible for this site: Oscar Lampe, canton of Vaud, Switzerland
The app is governed by Swiss data protection law and, for visitors in the EU/EEA and the UK, by the GDPR. Since the app processes nothing outside your own device, almost none of either applies to it — which is the point.
Children
The app is for adults dividing the work of a household. It is not directed at children, and it collects nothing from anybody.
Changes
This page carries the date it was last revised at the top. If anything about what is collected ever changes, the change is described here in plain words rather than absorbed into a longer document — and given what is being claimed above, a change would be a piece of news rather than an edit.
